How to Steal a Million (1966)

How to Steal a Million (1966)

Director: William Wyler
Starring: Audrey Hepburn, Peter O'Toole, Eli Wallach

Synopsis:
The daughter of an art forger convinces an art thief to help her steal one of her father's fakes before it can be exposed as a fraud.

Impressions:
This is a decent blend of heist movie and romcom that banks of the chemistry of Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole, who make a pretty good onscreen couple. There are some fun antics to be had and I particularly like Eli Wallach as a suitor using Audrey Hepburn's character as a way to get closer to the statue at the center of the plot. It's also worth noting that the jazzy soundtrack is one of the early composing jobs by John Williams (back when he was known as Johnny Williams). It's not an outstanding film, but it's enjoyable enough to warrant a watch.
